The Vivo V70 series is set to be launched in India during the third week of February, as announced by the Chinese smartphone company on Thursday. This series will include the Vivo V70 Elite and Vivo V70, which will be available for purchase in the country through two online shopping sites and the brand's official website. The Vivo V70 Elite will run on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. In contrast, the regular version will come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. The company recently shared a sneak peek of the designs of both models. The devices will have rear camera setups in square shapes. On Thursday, the Chinese phone maker confirmed that the new Vivo V70 Elite and Vivo V70 will be launched in India on February 19 at 12pm local time. Furthermore, the company claims the two Vivo V70 devices will have the slimmest bezels, measuring just 1.25mm, in the under Rs. 50,000 category in India. This matches a recent leak suggesting that the new devices will be priced below Rs. 55,000 in India.

This announcement comes shortly after the company hinted that the two Vivo V series phones would be revealed in the country soon. Special pages for the Vivo V70 series were recently launched, confirming their availability in India via Flipkart, Amazon, and the Vivo India online store. Previously, the tech company also teased the features, specifications, design, and color options of the devices. The Vivo V70 will be available in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow colors. Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 Elite will be released in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black options. The Vivo V70 Elite is confirmed to have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the standard Vivo V70 will feature a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. The Vivo V70 series is expected to have a 6.59-inch 1.5K display, offering a pixel density of 459 ppi, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, and support for 1.07 billion colors.

Additionally, the upcoming Vivo V70 series will come with a 6,500mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging. It is claimed to have IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. In terms of camera features, the series will include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and an unspecified ultrawide camera. For selfies, it will have a 50-megapixel front camera.
