An Area Central detective sergeant escaped unhurt when his car's back window was shot at in the Little Village area. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday.
Someone from an unknown location shot at the unmarked police car. However, the police officer was not injured in the incident.
At around 1:55 a.m., the detective supervisor's car was shot at in 26th Street and St. Louis Avenue.
After the shooting at the unmarked squad car the 26th Street between Drake and Homan avenues have been closed by the police. Police looked for the shooter on the rooftops of the houses in the area with the help of a Chicago Fire Department ladder truck.
Nobody has been arrested yet for the offence.
