Master Blaster turns 39, festive atmosphere prevails

Come April 24, cricket fans in India have all reasons to celebrate and cut cakes as it marks the birthday of the cricket icon, Sachin Tendulkar. Not just cricket fans, but it’s a big day to all those who gaze at TVs to only see Sachin striking the ball in style.

With master blaster Sachin Tendulkar turning 39 today, festive atmosphere prevailed in the country. Although no official announcements have been made about the birthday celebrations by the striking batsman, the cricket fans across the country have already been reportedly exchanging sweets. Some even draped themselves in new threads.

Notably, Sachin Tendulkar on Monday arrived at Chandigarh to take part in the IPL-4 match against Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday at Mohali. The sources said that the five-star hotel where Mumbai Indians are staying will be throwing a party. Mumbai Indians franchise owner Nita Ambani is likely to mark her attendance at this party. A senior official of the hotel apparently said that all arrangements were made for the party and that they were waiting for a nod from Tendulkar.

The sources have also said that Tendulkar was a reserved person and hence the party would completely be a private affair without any bash. On the other hand, a large number of Tendulkar fans bee-lined outside the hotel to wish their favourite star cricketer.

Meanwhile, it’s a big day for even the cake vendors in the country. The demand for cakes on this day is reportedly high as almost every other person who looks at Tendulkar as a demigod cut cakes. (Phani)
