Family members did not give up hope in the searching for a young woman with a developmental disability who disappeared without a single trace along with her 2 years old nephew, a year ago in northwest Indiana.
Diamond Bynum, now 22 years old, and her nephew King Walker, now 3 years old, went missing from their Gary home on July 25, 2015. According to the family members, Bynum has been developmentally disabled, with the mental capacity of a 7 years old,
But authorities said they couldn’t issue an Amber Alert because King was in the care of an adult. King’s mother Ariana Walker said, “I feel like my life has been on pause a year.”
Gary policeinformed that they have “exhausted any and all leads” they’ve received. Cpl. Douglas Drummond with the Gary Police Department said that, “Unfortunately there have been no new tips, leads or developments in the last 6 months,”
The family members believed that the two were still out there. Bynum’s father Eugene Bynum Jr said that, “I have no ideas where they are, but I believe they are alive.”
