1 dead and almost 42 others injured in Shootings in the West and South West side

A man was fatally shot and many people were seriously wounded in shootings in city’s West and South sides.
A 28 years old man was shot dead about 8.43 pm in the Lawndale neighborhood on the west side.
Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police Spokesman informed that they found the man lying face down in a vacant lot with gunshot wounds in his head and neck. The man was taken immediately to the Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was declared dead. Alfaro informed that no one was taken to the custody for this fatal shooting.
Earlier a suspect was in custody after two men were shot around 10.40 a.m in the West Town neighborhood. The two were shot in the 600 block of North Ashland Avenue, according to police. One man suffered a gunshot wound in his left arm and the other one was shot in the left shoulder. Both of them were taken to North Western Memorial Hospital.
Most recently, at 9:50 p.m., a 19 years old man was shot during a robbery in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side. The man was standing with another person on the front porch of a home in the 5400 block of West Haddon Avenue when two male attackers came and announced robbery. The attackers stole the man’s cell phone and shot him. He was taken in a critical condition to the Loyla University Medical Centre.
About 9.20 p.m one 19 years and one 23 years old men were wounded in a shooting in the West Woodlawn neighborhood in the southside. The two men were paying basket ball in an alley in the 6200 block of south cottage Grove Avenue when a male attacker walked up to them and fired shots. The younger man was hit in the right arm and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. And the older man was shot in the abdomen and was taken to Stronger Hospital. Both of them are in Stable condition now.
About 7.34 pm a 40 years old woman and a 20 years old man were shot, in a drive by shooting, on the south Shire neighborhood on the south side. They were standing on a south walk in the 7000 block of South Clyde Avenue when someone from a white truck shot them. The woman was shot in her arm and the man was shot in his ankle. They were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Centre.
About 5.30 pm three men were wounded in a shooting in the Englewood neighborhood on the south side. They were walking in the South Throop Street, when someone from the back passenger side of a car got out and started shooting.
Atleast 29 other people were injured in Shootings on Friday.
